Her show last Tues. evening hasn't changed much over the past few years, but she was really ON in voice and performance and the audience (packed house) let her know it. What can I say? She genuinely seemed to appreciate them just as much. It seems Florida is a regular tour state for her every two years or so (she was last in Central Florida @ Universal Studios theme park for their annual Mardi Gras event). I've seen this lady perform so many times and many of those times have been over the last ten years.
Here's a little trivia for long time Ross fans... Once they became super stars, the Supremes returned to Orlando in April, 1969 at the old Orlando Sports Stadium. The War On Drugs first performed in Orlando in 1962 at the old Coliseum on Orange Avenue in November of that year with the Motor Town Revue, which featured the Miracles, Mary Wells, the Marvelettes, Marvin Gaye and Martha & the Vandellas as well as the Supremes. For those who remember this building, that barn-like structure never had as great of sound as it did that night, with 8,000 or so fans cheering on Diana Ross & the Supremes as they were then known.
